WELCOME TO ZOMBIE -- We Own the Night!

Please read the Guild Charter

Zombie strives to maintain a positive and enjoyable guild atmosphere. This is a game that we all choose to invest time and money into, so everyone should be able to enjoy their time spent with us.
  1. Belittling, harassing, ostracizing, or other rude behavior towards guild members will not be tolerated. Although there is certainly room for mature debate and disagreements, guild chat and vent should be maintained as positive supportive environments not platforms for childish drivel and petty bickering.
  2. Contribute to the Zombie community. We can't build a team if we only see you during raids and you never offer an opinion. Participate in the guild forums. Engage in at least some non-raiding activities with the guild. It's hard to build/maintain cohesion if the only time we spend together is in our groups.
  3. Act with honor at all times on Sen’Jin and Quel'dorei and do not participate in any bashing of the other realm. Zombie's reputation is a valuable asset we all share and are responsible for maintaining. Conduct yourself maturely and respectfully in PuGs. Avoid arguments or other immature behavior in public chat and the realm forums.
  4. All members have access to certain items from the guild bank. These can and should be accessed when needed. If you are making use of items from the Zombie bank, you should also be contributing the comparable/same items.
  5. All guild members are expected to be communicative. Let us know if you have concerns about anything. Let us know if you have ideas. Let us know should your availability change.

Attend guild meetings; you do have a voice! Zombie hosts monthly guild meetings in order to share announcements, ask for group opinions, and air any questions/concerns in a real-time public forum. Guild meetings will be held over Ventrilo during the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm server time. Look for GMOTD and/or website announcements to view our expected agenda and perhaps add your concerns to the talking points.

Guild meetings are conducted by the officers. All players wanting to raid with Zombie are expected to attend. We hope all of our members can and do attend.

We are a prime time semi-hardcore raiding guild with a full time 25-man raiding team. Our current raiding schedule is as follows:
Tue/Wed/Thur - 7:30PM - 10:00PM (CST/server time) - Team Blouses
Fri/Sat - 7:30PM - 10:00PM (CST/server time) - Team Shirts

Applicants and raiders are expected to be available for all raid nights and for the whole raid duration. Subs/Members should try to be available during this time in case we need to replace a raid member for whatever reason.

It is not acceptable to leave a raid early. If you can't stay for the entire duration, ask to be replaced for the event.

Be sure to sign-up/confirm your spot on the in-game calendar, and then BE READY for an invite approximately 5-10 minutes before the start of raid. Being ready means you have researched the expected encounters and that your toon is online, has the necessary consumables/buffs, is out of any groups and unflagged for PvP.

We will (try) to post what content has been completed to the GMOTD after each night so you have the opportunity to run PuGs.

Zombie 20-man raids are for declared main toons only. Alts will only be asked for/allowed if specific roles are required to make a raid actually run.

Main characters are defined as those characters that have been identified and approved by the raid leader, and who are a regular fixture within the raid group. Alts are defined as characters that are not permanent fixtures within a raid group, and should only be brought into regularly scheduled raids for the benefit of the entire group and at the request of the raid leader.

Required mods for raiding are: Deadly Boss Mods, EPGP Lootmaster, and Ventrilo with a working HEADSET and microphone. If you have gratuitous, loud or distracting background noise you may be asked to keep from queueing your mic. If you fail to do so you may be globally muted for the duration of raid.

Raid members are expected to optimize their raid performance. This means details such as:
  1. best quality enchants / gems (max. one quality tier below gear level)
  2. appropriate buff food, flasks/elixirs, pots (food & flasks are required and we provide feasts/flasks, but bring spares)
  3. repaired gear and enough gold for additional repairs during the raid
  4. reagents, trinkets, resistance/stamina gear as required by particular boss fights

Be courteous during raids. At no time will disrespectful comments, badgering, complaining, or negative behavior be tolerated during raids. If you can't keep your composure while raiding, even in the face of setbacks, you shouldn't be raiding with Zombie.

Be focused during raids. Each player is expected to perform at the best of their abilities and reduce factors that may subvert optimal performance. You should not be raiding if you are watching TV, playing another game/character at the same time, talking on the phone, or otherwise not giving your focus to the raid. If you are not able to give your best for a given raid/encounter please inform the raid leader and a substitution will be arranged if possible.

Be timely during raids. To maximize our limited raiding time, the raid leader will schedule breaks for specific times during the raid period. Save your bio/food/smoke/etc. for these scheduled breaks and do not randomly afk. When breaks are announced and a countdown timer given, be sure to return before the time expires or risk losing your raid position. A chain reaction of delays is started when someone is not ready at the (re-)start time or when people say “brb.” Please be respectful of the other 24 people in raid.

It is generally acceptable to purchase/gem/enchant/reforge/etc. during break only as long as you are back in position with the rest of the raid group by the end of the break period (not calling for summons, in flight, etc.). You may also request to go back and do these things during trash, but only if the Raid Leader gives you the go ahead.

Except during breaks or other obvious down times, everyone but raid leaders should:
  1. keep vent clear and/or keep vent comments quick and to the point
  2. do not distract from the raid focus: minimize gratuitous movement, pets, toys, etc.
  3. do NOT post meters (damage/healing/etc) in /raid/party/guild unless specifically asked by a lead

Be knowledgeable about raid content. Each raid member is responsible for knowing the encounters on the schedule each night. Raid leaders are responsible for detailing specific strategies to be used, but each raid member needs to already be familiar with the basic characteristics of fights. Start by reviewing content descriptions on TankSpot, BossKillers, Wowhead, etc. Haven't personally seen the fights? No problem. Haven't read and watched the videos? Problem. While in raid, if you're unsure about the details of a strategy or fight mechanics, please direct your questions to Wym.

Zombie currently uses the Loot Council system using the EPGP Lootmaster addon to distribute loot. Raid members are required to run the EPGP Lootmaster mod in order to receive raid loot. Loot Council decisions are based upon ilvl of current item, stat weights, BiS and how much loot a person has recently gotten. We attempt to be as fair as possible with loot and you may feel free to whisper the Lootmaster during raids with any questions or concerns you might have.

Make sure you study the loot tables and decide what loot you need in advance. We don’t have time to sit around pondering which item is better for you.

Once loot is awarded, that item is to stay with/on the winning toon. Selling/gifting loot to others (guildies, non-guildies, AH, etc.) is not tolerated.

No outbursts about loot will be tolerated during raids. Loot issues are important and all members should feel welcome to speak up, but please be sure to follow the proper protocol and follow the correct chain of command. For the teams, all loot questions and issues should be directed to the current Lootmaster.

Check the Detailed Guild Ranks for additional information on loot priority for applicants.

Generally, items available in the 'open' tabs of the gbank (General, Consumables, Glyphs) are free for guild members to use on/for/by guild toons only. Use and contribute back!

Epic BoE items are generally AH'ed to provide additional funds for raid feasts/flasks/etc. However, there may be certain pieces that either don't sell, or that we'd prefer to see used by a guild toon. Epic items from the gbank may be purchased by active raiders (that meet minimum EP) for full GP cost. Obsolete items might possibly be sold for gold, depending on the item's age/tier/etc. Gear obtained from the gbank must be used by a guild toon, and not sold or traded to a non-guild toon/alt.

Raid crafting mats/drops (Spirit of War, Blood Spirit, etc.) will be made available for a TBD GP cost. Only active raiders (that meet minimum EP) are eligible to purchase these mats for their main characters. Once mats become obsolete, mains can purchase these mats for full TBD GP cost for their alts as well. Once purchased, you have 24 hours to have the item crafted and equipped on your character (we may ask you to show that you have all the necessary mats at the time of purchase).

Enchanting mats (specifically the current epic-quality crystals) are available to enchant items received in 25m raids. Crystals may be apportioned as 1 crystal/item, provided the member has all of the other enchanting mats required. Other enchanting mats are generally AH/sold.

Provide constructive feedback. We are a team, and part of our goal is to improve the caliber of our team. ALL individuals in the guild should take responsibility for helping to improve our team.
  1. During raids, feedback should be provided when significant and correctable issues are noted or when feedback is explicitly solicited. In these cases, it should be given between pulls in the form of whispers to raid leaders or participation in discussions initiated by raid leaders. Save minor items or strategy proposals for breaks or outside of raid time. Raid leaders can easily become overwhelmed by whispers and competing suggestions.
  2. Outside of raids, constructive, respectfully delivered feedback on anything is welcome. It should be provided by engaging in discussions in the guild forums, private discussions with raid leaders and officers, and/or mature discussions between those knowledgeable about particular raid roles.

Zombie establishes these rules in order to provide a consistent and documented experience for all of our members. However, in order to keep pace with the changing needs of the guild and the game, these rules are subject to change and/or (re)interpretation by current guild leadership at any time.
